Each year UHaul publishes a report showing which states had the most inflow and outflow. In the 2023 report, it looks like everyone is moving to Texas, Florida, and North Carolina (not a big surprise) and people are moving out of California, Massachusetts, and Illinois (actually, more than a little surprising).
